2024

During the week of June 24, a total of 46 students converged from 29 different universities to attend the CyberTruck Challenge at the Macomb Community College Sports & Expo Center in Warren, MI. The week started with an introduction to heavy vehicles and learning the skills needed understand the cybersecurity concerns related to the trucking industry. The latter half of the week was allocated to students performing assessments on the systems available. Finally, students presented their findings Friday morning.

Students from all over the United States were also joined by a student from Romania, making this truly an international event. We also had a student from Georgia State University, continuing a streak of attendance from historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Schools sending the most students include Embry-Riddle, University of Missouri -Kansas City and Colorado State University with four students each.

They exist to showcase the activities and excitement from the CyberTruck Challenge; however, there should not be any revealing information regarding the security posture of the heavy vehicles or devices at the event.

Location for 2024

The address for the event is the Macomb Community College Sports and Expo Center (Building P). Registration is required and you can pick up your name tags in the Macomb Room of the building.

The event will be held in the gym on the east side of the building. The event site has air conditioning, so please bring pants and a light jacket.
